Learning Hindi Lesson 1
I just completed lesson 1 in Hindi it's going great expect when it comes to reading Hindi is where I'm having the problem but I will find something that will help me learn how to read Hindi. I did find on Livemocha.com that there are flash crads that help you learn as you go along in your lessons along with people to speak with that are on the site who are native in the lanuage. I need to get better at prnoucing words but all good things come in time right. I didn't learn how to speak english or rather learn how to pronouce words in english right when I was learning how to talk. I have gotten confused on some words but I'm getting better at them.

After seeing your post on this, I am doing Livemocha too :) Rosetta stone was just too much, the iPhone application I bought had errors even I could detect, but so far this looks good (apart from one where my friend said it should be u not oo...will believe him as he has a masters in Hindi)...which means that this time I think I will actually stick with it. Pronunciation is definitely the hardest I think. So nice to have a way to practice without friend critiquing even my first attempt. So thank you for sharing! :)
You are welcome I love the site I like the fact I can take my time and go over the lessons as much as I want and work on them in my own time . Rosetta Stone costs way tooo much money for my liking as well. Feel free to add me on Live Mocha if you like.
