India

India- officially the Republic of India is country is South Asia. It is the Seventh-larges country by geographical area, the second-most populous country, and the most populous democracy in the world. Bounded by the Indian Ocean on the south, the Arabian Sea on the west, and the Bay of Bengal on the east, India has a coastline of 7,517 kilometres (4,700 mi). It is bordered by Pakistan to the west; People's Republic of China (PRC),Nepal, and Bhutan to the north; and Bangladesh and Myanmar to the east. India is in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, the Maldives, and Indonesia in the Indian Ocean. Home to the Indus Valley Civilisation and a region of historic trade routes and vast empires, the Indian subcontinent was identified with its commercial and cultural wealth for much of its long history. Four major religions, Hinduism,Buddism,Jainism and Sikhism originated there, while Zorastrianism, Judaism,Christianity and Islam arrived in the first millennium CE and shaped the region's diverse culture. Gradually annexed by the British East India Company from the early eighteenth century and colonised by the United Kingdom from the mid-nineteenth century, India became an independent nation in 1947 after a struggle for independence that was marked by widespread nonviolent resistance. India is a republic consisting of 28 states and seven union territories with a parliamentary system of democracy. It has the world's twelfth largest economy at market exchange rates and the fourth largest in purchasing power. Economic reforms since 1991 have transformed it into one of the fastest growing economies; however, it still suffers from high levels of povert, illiteracy, and malnutrition. A pluralistic, multilingual, and multi ethnic society, India is also home to a diversity of wildlife in a variety of protected habitats. This was from Wikipedia as to what India is and means. To me India is place of adventure mystery wanting to be solved people to help place to find yourself what I mean by that is to find out who you really are, changeling's, hope, wonder ect I could go on forever. For me India has called to me for as long as I can remember I don't know why; when I was little kid in school when we would have history class and we talked about India it always has my attention no matter what, if their is something on TV about the country I will watch it without even thinking about it. I'm the type of person that dose believe in past lives for some reason I think that I did have past life that had something to do with me living in India at one point, I just have that feeling. I love everything that has to do with East meets West I do plan to travel to India one day I even love the food I plan on learning how to cook Indian food along with learning how to speak Hindi. I tell everyone to keep an eye on this country because it's going to become the USA best friends really soon!

Elvis

As most of you that know me know that I love ELVIS!! Even thought it was way before my time I still love him it's just something about him! Last night I went to the Carbon County fair to go see Ryan Pelton who is an Elvis impersonator I was surprised he looks like young Elvis sound like him too I loved his show. He preformed Evils songs from all of his different eras which I really loved, he said that he would be coming to Penn's Peak to do Christmas concert which I will be buying tickets to go see him. I'm not one for see people that in person ate other people but I just had to go see this show one because I have heard some much about Ryan Pelton that I figured I just had to go see him plus to get into the fair to see him only cost me 5.00 so if I did not like his show at least I could still go do other things and money would not be lost! It was worth the money just to see the show I will go see any shows that he has around here.
